What will it cost to wipe my data?
Wiping the data from your devices takes time and equipment. Hard drives must be removed from their cases and then be magnetically erased, before being mechanically disabled. Our current fee for processing each device that requires data erasure is just $10.00. This means that if you have 10 devices, you will pay just $100.00 plus HST to have all your eWaste removed and your data secured. Of course, if you don't require our data wiping service, the entire pick-up is free of charge.
If you have a large number of devices that require our data wiping service, or will need regular pick-ups, please give us a call to discuss a bulk discount for our services.
Why is Magnetic Erasing Better?
Magnetic erasing is the preferred way to wipe a device's data, because it does not require the drive to be functional, nor do we need to turn on the device to run any software. This means we never have to activate your device and your data is never at risk during our wiping process.
